Britain’s tech sector raised more than double that of any other country in Europe this year, amid a sharp downturn in venture capital funding compared to 2021.

UK tech firms raised £24bn as of 8 December, compared to £11.8bn in France and £9.1bn in Germany, according to Dealroom. The figure is down 29% from around £34bn last year.
