FinVentures leads $14.5m investment in Cognotec

FinVentures, the private equity arm of Standard Chartered Bank, has led the $14.5m (€15.1m) investment in Cognotec, the foreign exchange dealing and money market trading systems developer.

FinVentures has invested around two thirds of the $14.5m, with the remainder coming from existing investors. It will become a minority shareholder in Cognotec, based in Dublin, which will use the money to continue its global expansion.
