First State Investments loses chief executive

Rob Adams, the chief executive of First State Investments, the asset management company owned by Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), has quit the firm to return to Australia.

Stuart Grimshaw, the Sydney-based head of all of CBA's investment and insurance services, will fill in as the chief executive on an interim basis. He has already started an internal and external search for Adams's successor and hopes to have someone in place in the next six to eight weeks.
