Fischer quits Credit Suisse for buyout firm

Leonard Fischer has resigned as chief executive of Credit Suisse's European business a month after losing out to Brady Dougan for the top job at the Swiss bank.

Fischer is joining a company owned by Ripplewood Holdings, the US private equity firm, just 24 days after taking up the European chief executive job.
