Fitch Ratings, the international rating agency, has hired Richard Gambel from the Bank of Montreal to run its credit derivatives team in London.

Gambel, who joins as a managing director, was previously a member of the team at the Bank of Montreal that managed sponsored structured investment vehicles including Links Finance Corp and Parkland Finance Corp. Before that, he worked on structured finance investment at Abbey National Treasury Services, which he joined after previously working for Fitch between 1998 and 2000.
