Bank of America, which has been building a place in the European debt markets, has hired five to its London office: Piyanjali Abayaratna, Iftikhar Ali, Rommie Bhutani, Michael Coppock and Vincent Moge.

Abayaratna has joined BoA's global structured finance group to originate and structure asset backed securities transactions after three years with BNP Paribas' securitisation team.She reports to Steven Gandy, European head of global structured finance.
