More than half of the registered staff of Amaranth Advisors, the US hedge fund which collapsed last month, have left the firm's London operation.

Financial Services Authority records show that of Amaranth's registered staff in London, five have now gone. Total staff in London are thought to have numbered 26, including support staff, although it is unknown how many of these remain.
