Summer internships are in full swing in the City of London, with the big investment banks under more pressure than ever to attract and retain the brightest young minds spilling out of universities.

But the pressure is also on those who beat the competition to land themselves a place at the likes of Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan and Barclays to prove they have the skills to make it in finance.
