Given the misery faced by millions of passengers at London's Heathrow and its relentlessly negative press coverage (which we continue this week), its owners BAA might like to follow the example of one of the airport's smaller rivals in continental Europe to motivate staff and keep passengers happy while they face interminable queues for security checks.
Fraport, the company that owns and operates the thriving Frankfurt airport, has come up with its own song. Yes, that's right. Its own song. For an airport. The corporate song, catchily named Frankfurt Airport City, is written in the finest traditions of German pop music, and has the jaunty chorus line: "Baby if we try, we can ride across the sky".
