Anita Nemes, the global head of capital introduction at Deutsche Bank, was named Most Influential Woman in the European hedge fund industry, knocking three-time winner Leda Braga, president at BlueCrest Capital Management, off the top spot.

Nemes's win in the Financial News Awards for Excellence in Institutional Hedge Funds, Europe, 2014, follows the expansion of her role last year to include management of Deutsche Bank's European hedge fund consulting team, alongside managing the bank's intermediary activities between hedge funds and prospective investors. It also reflects the growing importance of the role of capital introductions in a tough fundraising environment for newer and smaller managers.
