Financial News is delighted to announce that industry veteran Michael Spencer, founder and chief executive of Nex Group (formerly Icap) will be the guest speaker at the Trading & Technology Awards Europe, 2019, on June 6 at the V&A museum in London.

City of London grandee Spencer built Icap into one of the world’s largest interdealer brokers before selling its voice-broking business to Tullett Prebon in 2016 and focusing on electronic markets and post-trade under the Nex banner. Last year he secured a £4bn deal to sell Nex to CME Group, the Chicago-based futures exchange.
