There may be only eight women on this year’s FN100, Financial News’s editorial pick of the most influential people in European financial markets, but that is more than the average of five women on the previous seven lists and a woman has broken into the top 10 for the first time.
Elizabeth Corley, chief executive of Alliance Global Investors, ranked sixth in the overall top 10 ranking, the only part of the list to draw from all the sectors. She was also ranked top of the asset management category of the FN100 for her work negotiating with regulators and politicians on behalf of her industry.
