A £25m (€41m) placing from Celtic, the football club based in Glasgow, is part of a flurry of interest from football clubs in raising money in the equity capital markets.

Celtic this week joined Italian club Juventus and British clubs Watford and Millwall in wanting to tap the stock markets.
