Foreign & Colonial Management has added to its European equities fund management team by hiring Frederic Desage-Bonnet from rival Credit Suisse Asset Management.

European equity performance is one of Foreign & Colonial's stronger suits and Europe is a growth area for the firm, which retains retail distribution arrangements in Germany with its former owner, Hypovereinsbank. The bank sold the fund manager to Eureko at the end of last year, in a deal which is still subject to regulatory approval.
