Former Apple executive to co-head Ventech software team

Ventech, the French venture capital boutique, has appointed Philippe Bouissou, a former head of Apple Computer's internet commerce group, as partner and co-head of software investments, alongside Eric Huet.

The appointment reflects the increasing importance of the US to Ventech's software activities. Bouissou joins from Allegis Capital, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm with $510m under management, where he had been a general partner since 1998. He began his career at Lagardère, the French media and defence conglomerate, and has held several managerial positions at Apple Computer.
