Former Bank of America broker to stand trial

A former Bank of America broker, who was the first person charged in the US mutual fund trading scandal, will stand trial after a New York judge turned down his appeal to drop the case. If found guilty, he could face a prison term of up to 25 years.

Theodore Sihpol was first accused in 2003 of arranging millions of dollars worth of illegal mutual fund trades.
