Jim Renwick, the former chief executive of Bridgewell, the UK broker bought earlier this year by Iceland's Landsbanki, has rejoined UBS just weeks after quitting as deputy chief executive of the Icelandic firm's London-based investment banking business.

Renwick is rejoining UBS, where he was chairman of corporate broking until he left the Swiss bank last year to join Bridgewell as head of its capital markets, as a vice-chairman in its London office.
