The man who built Chi-X Europe into the most successful of the new European trading platforms has been confirmed as the new chief executive of a fledgling service aiming to attract retail investors.

Peter Randall, the chief executive of Chi-X Europe from December 2007 to his departure in March this year, started this week as the chief executive of Equiduct, a trading platform aiming to replicate Chi-X Europe's success among brokers supporting the retail market.
