A former energy investment banker at Citigroup in London has won an age discrimination case against the US bank, after the judge ruled he was unfairly dismissed from the company.

Niels Kirk, who was chair of the bank’s Europe, Middle East and Africa energy and natural resources group, was made redundant in 2017 when he was 55.
