Andrew Fisher, the ex-chief executive of private bank Coutts & Co, has joined John Scott & Partners, the UK retail financial adviser, as chairman.

Fisher is also chief executive of Cox Insurance, the UK broker and underwriter at the centre of a fierce private equity takeover battle.
