Two industry veterans have teamed up to launch a new placement firm, to raise capital for investment boutiques across public and private markets.

Briarwood Partners was set up by Guillaume Mathais, previously Europe, the Middle East and Africa head of hedge funds at German fund manager DWS, and Ryan Durance, formerly head of business development at multi-boutique asset manager BennBridge.
