Former Goldman CEO attended key meeting with 1MDB figures — report

Former Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein was the unidentified high-ranking executive referenced in US court documents who attended a 2009 meeting with former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak involved in the 1MDB scandal, Bloomberg News reported, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

The meeting was set up and attended by two key figures in the 1MDB scandal, Malaysian businessman Jho Low and former Goldman partner Tim Leissner, one person with direct knowledge of the matter said, according to Bloomberg.
