An exchange set up to allow institutional investors to lend and borrow cryptocurrencies has hired John Macpherson, a former managing director at the investment bank Goldman Sachs, as a strategic adviser.

Lendingblock will call on Macpherson, who is also chief executive of the data analytics start-up BMLL Technologies, to advise on forging ties with financial institutions – both conventional capital markets and crypto specialists.
