Peter Wortel, a former chairman of the Dutch Society of Financial Analysts (VBA) and NIB Capital equity research head, has left the industry after almost 18 years to join VNU, the Netherlands based media and information company.

Wortel becomes vice-president of investor relations within the corporate communications and investor relations department at VNU when he joins in March.
