Former Russell and SocGen heads launch investment firm

The former European chief executive of Russell Investments and the ex-deputy chief executive of Société Générale have teamed up to launch a firm with the intention of becoming a principal investor in companies across the funds industry.

Frédéric Jolly, who resigned as chief executive for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Russell in June 2008, revealed at the time plans to set up such a venture, but these were delayed by the financial crisis.
