The Financial Conduct Authority will continue to search for a new permanent chair as former Which? executive Richard Lloyd was confirmed to fill the role on a temporary basis.

The position at the top of the markets watchdog will become vacant this spring after former Slaughter and May lawyer Charles Randell announced his surprise departure in October.
