Fortis has hired Tony Chan to work in its global syndications team in London, the second appointment the Belgian-Dutch bank has made in that business.

Chan, who joins after 17 years at Japanese investment bank Mizuho, starts in September and reports to Mark Betteridge, head of secondary loan sales.
