Fortis hires fixed income head from Société Générale

Fortis Investment Management, part of the Belgo-Dutch financial services group, has hired Emeric Challier from Société Générale Asset Management as chief investment officer of its Euro fixed income centre.

Challier, formerly head of the global bond team at SG's asset management arm, will be based at Fortis Investment Management's Paris office. He will join the existing team of 28 people, managing approximately €25bn ($27.5bn) in Euro fixed income and money market assets.
