Fortune Asset Management, the fund of hedge funds firm, has been granted clearance by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for its Market Wizards fund of hedge fund, as the city state seeks to broaden its investor base.

The MAS said last September that it would relax its minimum investment rules for retail hedge funds and funds of hedge funds as part of an effort to establish itself as a leading centre for Asian asset management.
