Dirk Lupberger, who founded Siemens Venture Capital in January 1999, is leaving Siemens where he has worked for 14 years, to join Munich-based PolyTechnos Venture Partners as managing director.
At Siemens, Lupberger was managing director in charge of worldwide restructuring and coordination of Siemens' ventures activities. However, in September 2001, Siemens announced that it was reorganising its venture capital units into a single entity, led by Bjoern Christensen. Lupberger was to stay on as co-managing director alongside Christensen and Thomas Kolbinger during the transition period until the end of 2001 and take up a new position at Siemens in 2002.
