Four relegated from FTSE

Four companies have been relegated from the FTSE 100, but the London Stock Exchange, whose 60% share price fall since the beginning of the year sparked fears it would be among them, escaped unscathed.

Television company ITV, retailer Carphone Warehouse, pubs operator Enterprise Inns and iron ore producer Ferrexpo have been demoted from the list, according to a statement from the index.
