France moves to oust Frère from Taittinger sale

The French government is trying to find a group of French buyers for Taittinger champagne in order to block an attempt to buy it by Belgian financier Albert Frère.

French officials have organised a meeting between Anne-Claire Taittinger, former head of Taittinger's supervisory board, Crédit Agricole and Taittinger's owners Starwood Capital to find a French solution, Les Echos reports.
