Gallic pigeons may now stay home to roost

Entrepreneurs in France, known as Les Pigeons, have scored a victory over capital gains tax rates that is boosting private equity deals

French private equity deals have started to pick up since President François Hollande agreed a compromise deal on capital gains tax in April.

While the benefit is still to be seen in the number of deals, it is already being felt in their value, according to figures from data provider Dealogic.
