France Télécom hit by increased debt burden concerns

Yield premiums on France Télécom bonds rose sharply after reports that the group's debt burden is larger than previously thought.

Thierry Breton, chief executive of the French telecoms company, is expected to reveal on Monday that group debt, including off-balance sheet items, is closer to €80bn ($78bn) rather than the €70bn quoted at the end of June, according to French newspaper La Tribune.
