Frank Russell has established a team in London to answer UK and European institutions' questions on hedge funds and, possibly, to put together a fund of hedge funds.

Derek Doupe has joined Russell from William M Mercer as an associate director of alternative investments, focusing on hedge funds. Jeffrey Ganung, a director of alternative investments, will soon move from Russell's headquarters in Tacoma, Washington to join him.
