Franklin Templeton forced to admit wrongdoing

Franklin Templeton, the US mutual fund manager, has been forced to admit wrongdoing for its part in the US market timing scandal following pressure from the Massachusetts securities regulator.

The firm had originally paid $5m (€3.8m) to settle with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the US regulator, but had done so without admitting or denying wrongdoing.
