Franklin Templeton picks investment chief for emerging market equities

US asset manager Franklin Templeton Investments has hired Manraj Sekhon to oversee its emerging markets equity teams around the world, bolstering expertise in this area just weeks after legendary investor Mark Mobius announced his retirement.

Sekhon, who takes on the role as chief investment officer for emerging market equities, will join Franklin Templeton in February, the company announced today.
