French private equity exits double

French private equity investors made more than €1bn ($1.23) worth of exits in the six months to June this year, almost double the amount for the same period last year.

Industry representatives said the rise in exits, combined with a slower rate of fund raising, would improve the health of the market, which had suffered from an overhang of cash waiting to be invested.
