Clifford Chance has hired a leading M&A lawyer from Freshfields to join as a partner in its investment banking group.

Iain Hunter, 35, worked with some of his firm's most important banking clients including Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse First Boston, Merrill Lynch, UBS Warburg and Deutsche Bank, as well as a number of corporate clients.
