Friends Ivory & Sime has hired Mark Thompson, formerly with Impax Capital, the financial advisory and asset management company, to serve as a member of its mainstream global equities team.

Thompson previously worked for Impax's corporate finance team as assistant director, advising clients on environmental technology issues. He will now be responsible for researching them for Friends' global team.
