Friends Ivory & Sime Private Equity, the semi-captive arm of the fund management group, has poached Kevin Whittle, chief executive of EWS Group, the European waste company.

Whittle joins as portfolio director in the portfolio management team set up to enhance the performance of Friends Ivory & Sime's investee companies.
