FSA launches consultation on 'trading inducements'

The review follows the Financial News revelation earlier this year that the regulator had begun an informal investigation into the controversial practice

The UK Financial Services Authority has launched a consultation into so-called 'trading inducements' in a move that could shake up the UK's retail brokerage market.

As first revealed by Financial News, the FSA began an informal investigation into the practice of 'payment for order flow' earlier this year, writing to a number of industry associations to gauge their views on the practice in advance of a formal consultation.
