FSA planning wider bonus-rule reach

The changes will align the UK's policy on bonuses closer to new rules being imposed by the European Union

The UK's financial regulator said today that it plans to change remuneration rules for the financial services industry, which could include imposing the changes on all banks, asset managers and hedge funds.

The changes will align UK's policy on bonus closer to new rules being imposed by the European Union, although the Financial Services Authority said it "doesn't intend the final rules to be super-equivalent."
