FSA says London will stay tough on trading rules

Sir Howard Davies, chairman of the Financial Services Authority, said London will not relax its tough trading regulations in light of the London Stock Exchange's planned merger with Deutsche Börse.

The FSA will stick to its guns in order to keep exchange practices as transparent as possible, he said after the FSA's annual meeting.
