FSA warns of year riddled with risks

The Financial Services Authority (FSA), the UK watchdog, has warned investment banks and fund managers in a strongly worded new report that 2003 is likely to be a difficult year.

The regulator cautioned that firms should be prepared for a prolonged period of depressed equity prices and deflation, even though it maintained such an eventuality was improbable.
