Callum McCarthy, chairman of the Financial Services Authority, last night warned firms in the City of London to work on their business continuity planning because of the possibility of another terrorist attack on the capital.

Speaking at the Mansion House in London, McCarthy said the FSA had a part to play in "identifying and promoting high standards of business continuity planning among regulated firms."
