Global business advisory firm FTI Consulting announced that Barbara Ryan has been appointed managing director in the firm's strategic communications practice.

In her new role, Ryan will also support the firm's healthcare and life sciences transactions communications and crisis communications offerings. She will be based in New York and joins the firm from Deutsche Bank, where she held the position of managing director and head of the pharmaceutical research team for the past 20 years.
