FTSE 100 companies fail to commit to Higgs report

The UK's largest companies are still showing a lack of commitment to corporate governance guidelines outlined in the Higgs report on the role of non-executive directors, a new survey has found.

Although the survey of FTSE 100 companies by Armstrong International, the European research firm, named BP as the company that had complied most closely with the government-commissioned Higgs recommendations, it found that 75% of companies still lacked adequate nominations and corporate governance committees.
