FTSE 100 drops as investors assess Trump ban in the US

UK stocks were staging a broad-based decline Monday, as investors assessed what President Donald Trump’s immigration ban in the US means for the recent so-called “Trump trade” and for businesses worldwide.

The FTSE 100 fell 0.9% to 7,119.46, with only the telecom group showing a gain. The index on Friday rose 0.3%, trimming the loss it notched last week to 0.2%.
