Blue-chip stocks in London were wandering around the flatline Monday, after ending last week at a two-week high, but Randgold Resources was pushing higher following the gold miner’s financial update.
The FTSE 100 was up 0.1% at 7,192.48. The basic materials, healthcare, financial and utility sectors rose, but consumer, tech, telecom and industrial shares were in the red. The index on Friday rose 0.7% to 7,188.30, the highest close since January 20. Friday’s move helped the benchmark notch a weekly gain of 0.1%.
